Expecting sanity, decency and western-style, neoconservative "rules of engagement" in a religious war, or infact ANY real war, is naive.
War means you are trying to kill your enemy and steal the best of his stuff or destroy it so no one else can.

The Israelis have figured this out, even if the same political correctness is keeping them from dealing with it permanently.
If we could ever look at our history and rediscover what worked in defeating our adversaries, victory in the war on terrorist ragheads would be declared tomorrow evening via press release AFTER we had steamrolled into Riyhad, Mecca and Medina with little regard for "civilian casualties", and the corrupt officials and their religious masters were on trial for war crimes against their own people, let alone Israel, Great Britain, Spain, Holland and U.S.
It won't happen, but one can dream.
