The Ron Paul "debate" - have a look

This is going to be a very short post, since I'd like readers to look at two posts on two other blogs before I weigh in with my two cents.

From Bob Bidinotto's blog post on Ron Paul: "Ron Paul's "noninterventionism" fraud" http://bidinotto.journalspace.com/?entryid=637

From Ilana Mercer's post on libertarians who don't go for Paul: "On Idiot Ideologues Who Pan Paul" http://blog.ilanamercer.com/?p=581

Full disclosure: I know both writers, Bob I count as a friend and have been his home guest on one occasion. Ilana I know through mostly friendly correspondence, and have posted frequently on her blog. I believe they also know each other and have had business dealings in publishing.

Does the phrase "where angels fear to tread" mean anything to you?

Wait: I thought 9-11 was caused by the Crusades. Or the Reconquesta of Spain. I suppose the invasion of Europe in the 8th century was also caused by US policies in the Mideast, particularly the installation of the Shah.

Bidinotto should write for NRO, or the St. Paul Pioneer/Press, or maybe even the New Yuck Slimes. If he's that good at regurgitating the talking points of the GOPragmatists - whose principle-free governance is about to cost the rest of them their jobs - maybe he can stump for authoritarianism on the left for awhile.
    Call it "fair and balanced."

Can anyone honestly look at the runaway inflation, confiscatory taxation, loss of individual liberty and responsibility and overall collectivization of America since 1932 and say "We need MORE government interference in our lives and those of people around the world!"
If you can, vote for anyone but Paul, and that's exactly what you'll get...Until "BanKhazar" forecloses, anyway!

I enjoyed Ileana Mercer's posting very much. I don't like Ron Paul's stances on immigration and abortion, but nobody's perfect. It's amazing to hear somebody making sane statements about American foreign policy on television. And I felt proud to be a Libertarian when NPR broadcast an excerpt from his stump speech.

Uh Galt, I presume that "Khazar" is code for "Jew." That's Ilana and I'm sure she isn't rich enough to be part of any banking conspiracy. And, though not Jewish myself, I do have Jewish relatives.

If that's all you got out of what I posted, you might want to read the comment again.
"Conservative" fascism is no better or different than "liberal" fascism, and if we keep destroying our future by leaving it in the hands of Bush and Soros because of how we feel about the facts keeping U.S. from facing them, well then Nikita Khrushchev made good on his threat:
"We will bury you so gently, you won't even know you're dead."

Galt, when you throw around words like "Papist" and "Khazar" you kinda gotta expect that people are going to assume that you're a White Supremacist Spotlight-reader.

As for "facist" - please define it. The word has been used a lot in the past few generations to mean nothing much more than "political position on the Right that I don't like." Unlike "socialist" which does have a fairly widely-accepted definition.

Look forward to reading your own take, Steve. Here's hoping you're no angel. ;-)
